Milan, Italy November 13-18th, 2012 - When it comes to beautiful models, be it exciting new motorcycles or the long legged female type, nothing can top the annual fall International Motorcycle Show called EICMA for short, the world's biggest bike event now held regularly in Milan, Italy. All the manufacturers use EICMA to premier their latest prototypes and production machines. The first 3 days are trade days devoted to the Media and Dealers, then the doors are swung open for the general public on the weekend. Attendance is around half a million people taking in three huge exhibit halls that can take 2-3 days just to walk and cover thoroughly. Enjoy the sights at this year's show!

Kawasaki
The Kawaski Versus 1000 (above) is a 1000cc in-linee four sport tourer along the lines of Ducati's successful Multistrada. We think it will do well wih the older enthusiasts who prefer the smoother power of a Japanes 4-cylinder. Unfortunately and short-sightedly, Kawasaki USA is not including it in theirr 2013 model lineup.
Above, the restyled Kawaski Z1000, and belo, the restyled ZX-6 with its extra 36cc advantage in the 600cc Sportbike market.
In Europe the 600cc version is also avaialble to comply with the 600cc Supersport race class limit.

Yamaha
There was nothing really new at Yamaha as like the other Japanese manufacturers, their streebikes sales have been impacted hard by the economy. Rather than bring out exciting new model biikes to entice us back to buying like the European manufacturers, Yamaha and the other Jpaanese manufscturers have cut back on development and new bikes introductions. But at least we can show you a picture of one of the prettiest spokesmodels at the Show.....

touring scooter which has been modified with big racing front brakes with ISR 6-piston calipers. Below, Jorge Lorenzo's 2012 MotoGP World Championship winning Yamaha M1/
Suzuki
The GSXR1000 became standard last year with Brembo Monoblock Brakes. New colors for 2013, but no real design changes from the Japanese manufacturers who have been hit hard in bikes sales because of th economy. We think they should also offer an high-end GSXR version with full Ohlins Suspension and Traction Control, ABS like the Europeans if they don't want to contiue to loose sales.
Honda
Nothing too excitng from the word's biggest motoccyel manufactuter. Just his nice dispaly of racebikes.
In the USA is the introduction of the new affordable CBR 500 Twin sportbike.
